It holds 48 pencils, 24 in the lid, which are held in place by a wooden baton secured in position by two magnets and 24 in the base.

When open the box lies flat on the work surface, showing all 48 pencils at a glance, making selecting the pencil you want that much easier.

The first range of pencils to be launched in this new wooden box was Pastel Pencils. Now Derwent is pleased to announce the addition of two more pencil selections, Sketching and Inktense to the new 48 wooden box collection.

The new Sketching 48 wooden box contains a specially selected combination of classic Derwent graphite pencils; from the iconic Graphic pencil and versatile Watersoluble Graphitone sticks; to the more contemporary Graphitint Pencils which add a hint of subtle colour to any graphite
sketch or drawing.

The Inktense 48 wooden box contains a beautifully balanced spectrum of 48 shades of this unique New Wooden Box Presentation for Derwent Sketching & Inktense Pencils water-soluble pencil. Apply pure, dry vibrant colour then wash out the pigment completely to leave a translucent ink-like effect. Once dry, the colour is permanent and can be worked over with other colours or media.
