Derwent is delighted to announce the launch of an elegant new style of wooden box. Speaking about its introduction Derwent Marketing Manager Leah Lister said, ‘we have been searching for a new style of box for a while and we believe we have found one which is as practical as it is beautiful. With its satin smooth walnut finish it will make an ideal gift for friends, family or dare I say, oneself’
The new Derwent wooden box holds 48 pencils, 24 in the lid, which are held in place by a wooden baton secured in position by two magnets and 24 in the base. When open the box lies flat on the work surface, showing all 48 pencils at a glance, making selecting the shade you want that much easier.
Over the next year a series of new wooden boxes will be introduced each one containing a special selection of 48 pencils from one of Derwent’s popular ranges old and new; from Artists and Coloursoft to Inktense and Watercolour. The first new wooden box to be launched features 48 Pastel Pencils, which offer all the beauty of pastels but in a more convenient, less messy form.
These wood cased Pastel Pencils have a soft powdery texture which produces a smooth velvety finish, ideal for mixing and blending. The beauty of pastels is epitomized by the stunning portrait by Paul Finn which appears on the
protective outer carton of the new wooden box.
