Additions to the Derwent Black Book range

Derwent is delighted to announce the addition of 2 new formats to the range, A3 portrait and A4 landscape, giving artists even greater choice. They can now select from A3 and A4 sizes, in either portrait and landscape formats or a more contemporary Square style (12” or 30.5cms).

Each Black Book contains 40 sheets of heavy weight (200gsm) black paper which is very resilient and will take a minimum of 10 layers of pencil before the surface begins to deteriorate. It can also be used with water- soluble pencils for light washes, ideal for landscapes.

Black paper brings coloured pencil art work to life making subjects appear even more colourful and vibrant. The bright, intense colours of Derwent Metallic, Coloursoft and Inktense Pencils are particularly enhanced by the use of black paper.

Not only are the Derwent Black Books perfect for colourful pencil drawings the heavy weight paper means they are ideal as photo albums or for scrapbooking with the black paper acting as the perfect background to your treasured images.

Each Black Book is bound with stylish hard matt black covers with extra strong rings and can be opened flat to allow you to work easily across a double page. The books can also be folded back on themselves in order to occupy a smaller work space if required.
