As part of its ongoing rebranding programme Derwent is delighted to announce the launch of its new look Metallic Pencils with a new pencil livery and attractive new packaging.
Metallic Pencils are perfect for introducing a beautiful metallic sheen to your drawings. They work particularly well on a dark background and can be used on their own or with other media to add brilliant definition and glowing highlights. Derwent Metallic is also water-soluble, so you can create shimmering colour washes and interesting line and wash effects.
Speaking about the transformation of the Metallic Pencil range Leah Lister, Derwent Marketing Manager, said ‘It was really important that we showcased the shimmering qualities of the natural metallic pigments on both the packaging and the pencil. After careful research we commissioned pencil artist Michelle Law to draw a Peacock butterfly on a black background.
