This summer our GIANT pencils are on a mission! Where will you see one of the four 6ft pencils?

We’re journeying to Carfest North with the Pencil Museum! Come and find the Derwent marquee for fun creative activities and get your photo taken with the GIANT pencil and share it on our Facebook page. Two GIANT pencils have been created for Children in Need and will be auctioned off at Carfest North and South.

Coming to the Lakes? Then visit it at the Pencil Museum, Keswick and have your photo taken with Drew the Giant and his pencil!

The Pencil-O-Meter will be at art events and activities over the summer, so don’t miss your chance to see how you measure up to the big 6 footer!

How many people does it take to make a 6ft GIANT Pencil?

Cut and shaped at the Robin Hood Sawmill.
Sanded and planed by the Project Engineer.
Leads mixed, extruded and baked in the oven by the Research Assistant.
Painted and dipped by the Technical Manager.
Letters provided by POD printers.
Finally back to the Project Engineer to be pointed. And yes, you can write with it!
